Collecting, assembling, ordering: Border politics and the invisible border work of asylum

Claudia Aradau and Lucrezia Canzutti will present their joint article, published in Environment and Planning C, at a seminar hosted by the Department of Anthropology as SOAS on 13 March 2024. The article introduces the 'generous notion of work', as developed by feminist sociologist Dorothy E. Smith, as an analytical lens to understand how asylum seekers are increasingly compelled to do data work unaided and without equipment.
